Not a big fan of dressing up dogs. True their cuteness factor doubles, but I could just imagine how uncomfy it is for them. Also dogs have sweat glands in their paws, right? So it’s really not a good idea to make them wear shoes.
Thanks for your feed back San Diego Doggie Wash.
Some dogs actually love to wear clothes especially small breeds like Chihuahua’s who are freezing in the winter otherwise. There is a utility factor aside from fashion is you really think about it.
Dogs in hot climates like Florida, love to wear cooling vests because they feel better just like dogs in winter climates.
As for shoes, what about the utility factor of shoes as well? Protecting rescue dogs like the 911 rescue dogs who climbed around on dangerous piles of rubble to rescue trapped victims? Even shoes to protect our dogs paws from salt on icy side walks in urban cities like New York benefit from foot ware. Shoes are not just for fashion, but your point is well taken
I love dog clothing. I have my own business designing and making dog clothing. I do see the point that it can be uncomfortable for the dog but mine have wore clothing for years and dont seem to mind. My chihuahua girl would freeze in our cold Canadian winters if it wasnt for clothing.
Well you know I personally LOVE doggie fashion!! My dogs LOVE wearing clothes. Sometimes it’s for practical reasons (like cold) and some times it’s just for fashion. They know when they get dressed up they get to go somewhere and see people and they love people. They love pajamas in the winter because they are nice and cozy warm.
